When we began working with Kelly, we were hesitant about wanting to buy at this time because of all the bad press about the housing market.  Kelly was extremely patient and very willing to take his time and show us several properties until we were sure that we had found the home that was meant for our family.  This patience and commitment is hard to come by, and is priceless.

After we did find the home that we wanted, Kelly was very diligent and hard-working, making sure that no stone was left unturned in preparing for our closing.  He was in constant contact with the lawyers and the sellers' real estate agent making sure that all aspects of the closing were being handled in a timely manner.  When unforeseen complications arose on the seller's end of the closing, Kelly kept us abreast on the situation, often just calling to reassure and update us, which was very much appreciated, and above and beyond the call of duty.  People say that homebuying is a stressful time, but every aspect of working with Kelly has been an absolute pleasure.  His friendliness, dedication and diligence have really made buying a home painless and enjoyable.

As an added bonus, the dedication that Kelly demonstrates to the Greyhound Rescue really shows what a caring and thoughtful individual he is.  As if we weren't already impressed enough with our experience, the donation Kelly made in our name really touched us and warmed our hearts.  We are definitely clients for life!

In early 2005, my wife and I contacted Kelly about selling our condo in Chicago and finding a single family home in the near western suburbs.  Working with Kelly was truly a wonderful experience on many levels.  Kelly demonstrated a high degree of professionalism with us, other agents, and prospective buyers and sellers.  He was thoughtful in scheduling appointments around our schedule, treating our home with respect, and caring about our 'sneaky' cat.  He obviously knows the business.  For example, we received what we perceived to be an insultingly low offer for our condo.  My wife and I were prepared to tell the people to forget it.  Kelly wisely suggested that we never walk away from an offer.  So, we countered, very close to our asking price.  To our surprise, the buyers accepted and we ended up getting more than what we initially expected.  Without that advice, we would have surely lost the sale.

Kelly also demonstrated an often rare sense of honesty.  Whenever someone viewed our place or when we looked at a house, Kelly was upfront with us about what he thought while careful not to influence our own thought process.  He also followed up with every agent and gave us honest feedback.  Given how emotional buying and selling can be, his honesty provided a sense of balance we needed.

This process was also made much easier by Kelly's strong and likeable personality.  He is one of the most accessible, affable, and considerate individuals we have met.  Kelly was always available to us via email and phone, even if it was to just talk through ideas or unfounded fears!  Kelly is a balanced individual with a great sense of perspective.  Just being around him puts you at ease.  His personality is infectious as evidenced by numerous remarks made by other Realtors about how nice it was to work with him.  This affirmed what we already knew - that we not only had a good Realtor, but a good friend.

Pete and Franny Apel

My name is Franny Apel and I just sold my condo.  Back when Kelly and I first met, my name was still Franny Swajkoski and I was staying just down the street from him.  That's how we met - Kelly's greyhound Chloe was very well known in the neighborhood.  I needed a Real Estate Agent, and Kelly accepted the job.  Kelly provided great direction and support throughout the entire home-buying process.  You never would have known that over the duration of the process he was immobilized by a broken leg!  Kelly was so dedicated to me and to his job that he attended each showing and would sit outside in a car with his leg propped up on a pillow waiting to hear about each location.  After all was said and done, I owned a one-bedroom condominium and we had lunch at this wonderful little Mexican restaurant.

Two years and a wedding later, Kelly and I were sitting at that same Mexican restaurant reminiscing and celebrating the sale of the same condominium that we had toasted to before.  My husband and I were preparing to move to North Carolina and were enjoying our last chance at Kelly's company.  Kelly really makes an effort to develop a relationship with everyone he works with.  I could hardly consider myself a "client" because it sounds so impersonal in comparison to the reality of working with Kelly.  He was always well-prepared, well-meaning, and respectful.  He always had our best interests at heart as opposed to his own.  I never doubted him or his expertise and I have recommended him to all of my friends about to enter the real estate market.

My husband and I are really glad for the opportunity to write this testimonial on Kelly's behalf.  I know we said thank you many times to him, but I always felt like we were the ones enjoying all the benefits of working with Kelly.  So I am grateful to be able to write such a glowing report of Kelly for all the people who will have the future pleasure of working with him.
